1,500-Year-Old Stone Capital with Rare Menorah Unveiled in Jerusalem

A 1,500-year-old limestone capital adorned with a rare eight-branched menorah has been unveiled in Jerusalem.

Discovered in 2020 during excavations near the city's entrance, the artifact is believed to have originated from a Roman-era building before being repurposed in a Byzantine structure.

The menorah's unique design offers valuable insights into Jewish art and religious practices during that period. The unveiling coincides with Israel's Independence Day celebrations.
