Spanish discovery suggests Roman-era church may have been a synagogue

Archaeologists in southern Spain found menorah carvings and Hebrew inscriptions suggesting a supposed 4th-century Christian basilica may have actually been a synagogue. If confirmed, it would be among the oldest in Spain, reshaping knowledge of early Jewish life.
