Historic early 20th-century railcar installed at Boston’s unfinished Holocaust museum

A restored early-20th-century railcar — like those used during the Holocaust to deport Jews to death camps — has been donated to the Holocaust Legacy Foundation for display at the forthcoming Holocaust Museum Boston (slated to open in 2026). Once restored, the railcar will be a central, immersive exhibit to help visitors confront the brutal reality of the genocide.
