National Days of Jewish Service Serve Up 9,000 Acts of Goodness

The National Days of Jewish Service, led by Repair the World, mobilized thousands across the U.S. to perform 9,000 acts of kindness during June 2025.

Volunteers from synagogues, JCCs, youth groups, and independent initiatives focused on local needs—meals for homebound seniors, urban clean-ups, tutoring children, and more. Repair the World supported organizers with micro‑grants and resources.

Participants described meaningful connections: brief doorstep conversations that grew into shared stories, laughter, and even tears. The initiative seeks to connect Jewish values—tzedakah, gemilut chasadim (acts of lovingkindness)—with civic engagement.

It emphasizes that voluntary service is both a Jewish responsibility and a mechanism for building community bonds.
