Tens of Thousands Gather for Boulder Jewish Festival, Largest Turnout in Its 30‑Year History

On Sunday, over 15,000 people—including out-of-towners—packed Pearl Street Mall for Boulder’s 30th annual Jewish Festival, marking its largest attendance ever.

Coming just one week after an antisemitic firebomb attack injured 15 people in a nearby “Run for Their Lives” hostages vigil, the festival emphasized cultural celebration and communal healing.

Attendees enjoyed food, music, artisan booths, and speeches stressing interfaith unity and resilience. Many wore stickers reading “611” to honor Israeli hostages held in Gaza. Festival organizers and Jewish leaders highlighted the importance of public solidarity and joy as a response to hatred.

Enhanced security—including police, drones, and bomb-sniffing dogs—was in place. The gathering symbolized that in the face of violence, the community responds by coming together.
